Blind Concepts are proud to have partnered as the window covering contractor to Maben Group for the award winning build of the new Department of Transport, Ringwood Office. Over 1000 blinds in eco friendly PVC free sun screen roller blinds, powered by Somfy automation. The blinds were made in Melbourne by Blind Concepts, with the latest European fabrics. Blind Concepts, ‘’no job too big or too small’’.
Northland Shopping Centre
Verosol PVC Awnings
Blind Concepts are proud to have partnered Insitu Group as the contractor for the supply of Verosol PVC wire guide awnings powered by Somfy automation, over 20 in all, at the North Land Shopping Centre. For clients of Grilled, Mad Mex, Nando’s, Betty’s Burgers and others, customers may sit in the comfort of wind sheltered areas and protection from inclement weather. Outdoor areas turned into revenue creating eating areas for every day of the year. All the awnings are with powder coated full enclosed head boxes. Blind Concepts designed and sourced engineered brackets specifically to level the raked roof. At Blind Concepts we offer advice, we design, we source and we install.
Kay & Burton HQ | Toorak
Sheer & Velvet Curtains
Blind Concepts are delighted to have partnered with Vicland Property Group at 489-505 Toorak Rd Toorak as the window furnishing provider for levels 6 and 7, the HQ of Melbourne’s leading real estate agency Kay & Burton. The interior, designed to reflect the award-winning homes Kay & Burton sells, involved over 4000 square metres of sheer and velvet fabrics. 4000 square metres, made to S fold sheer and block out curtains, fitted to continuous curved pelmet mounted (concealed) tracks. The curtains are a key element to soften the modern interior. The fabrics, are a combination of Warwick’s Burano linen mix and Slender Morris stone wash linen. Velvets by Grant Dorman Interiors. We are Blind Concepts by name, however, curtains, are our specialty too.
Shaping Bright Futures at Montrose Primary School

Montrose Primary School utilises its sports and gymnastics hall for assemblies and presentations. Seeking to control excessive light and glare, the school sought guidance from Blind Concepts.
We custom-designed oversized blinds perfectly tailored for the space, addressing the school’s need. Additionally, we engineered a specialised bracketing system, ensuring secure installation onto the existing building infrastructure.
These impressive blinds are powered by Somfy RTS motors, effortlessly responding to the touch of a button for seamless up and down movements. This innovative solution not only provides effective light control but also ensures convenience and ease of use for the school’s faculty and staff.
Circular Wall Fitting
with SOMFY Automation
Another feature of the beachside residence is this circular wall with floor-to-ceiling windows. Sheer curtains were avoided on this elevation, as when not in use the owners required full exposure of the wall and windows.
We introduced a sheer-look sunscreen fabric for roller blinds, to complement the sheer curtains throughout. We used 45-degree angle/swivel brackets that allow the blinds to hug the curves. When not in use, the blinds retract to custom-designed ceiling pelmets to house the blinds and reveal the windows and wall.

This custom-built and architecturally designed home in Melbourne’s Camberwell had a need for privacy and light control in the first-floor bedrooms.
Our answer is custom powder-coated external venetians, powered by Somfy automation. The Venetians tilt for light control and privacy. They retract to inbuilt head boxes when not required to reveal the full span of the huge windows.
Assembled in Sydney and made to measure, external Venetians make for a great, modern solution to conventional awnings.

This beautiful architecturally designed and custom-built beachside home was a delight for Blind Concepts to consult, supply, and install a total window furnishing solution. We worked with the owners from the ground up and throughout the entire journey.
At the front of the house, this amazing 13-meter continuous curtain graciously retracts to a purposely designed wall cavity, to house the curtain when not in use, revealing the entire span of the feature wall of glass. The track, with twin curves, housed in custom design pelmets, is inconspicuous, it’s as if the curtain is floating in the wind as it opens and closes, (at the push of a button or by voice control).

At the RACV Club Melbourne, Blind Concepts created an impressive addition to their space: enormous indoor sunscreen roller blinds powered by Somfy Automation. These blinds are the result of a collaboration with Blind Concepts, and they were thoughtfully designed for the atrium and dining facilities located on the ground floor of the Bourke St Club, Melbourne.
What sets these blinds apart is their sheer size and functionality. Installed at a remarkable elevation, approximately 11 meters above the ground floor, with an impressive drop of 9 meters, these roller blinds serve as a remarkable sun-shading solution for the establishment. The Somfy Automation system ensures smooth and efficient operation, allowing staff to control and optimise the amount of natural light that filters into the space.
These indoor sunscreen roller blinds have not only elevated the aesthetics of the venue but have also enhanced the comfort and experience of the members and guests.
