Motorised Lumex Louvre Roof – Alphington, Victoria – Yarra River
Blind Concepts designed and installed this motorised Lumex louvre roof system for a private residence overlooking the Yarra River in Alphington, Victoria.
The system seamlessly extends the home’s indoor living area into a highly functional outdoor space, providing precise control over sunlight, ventilation and weather protection. The aluminium louvres rotate smoothly at the touch of a button, allowing the homeowners to transition effortlessly from open sky to full shelter as conditions change.
Integrated into the roof structure are double dimmable LED strip lights, creating layered ambient lighting for evening use. The lighting can be independently controlled, delivering both functional illumination and a warm architectural glow that enhances the timber decking and surrounding landscape after dark.
Finished in a contemporary Dulux Monument powder-coat, the Lumex structure complements the natural timber finishes of the home while maintaining a strong architectural presence. Designed for year-round outdoor living, this installation delivers a refined balance of form, performance and comfort, perfectly suited to its riverside setting.
