Curtain rods offer a great way to elevate the look of your windows. They are easy to install and offer aesthetic and functional benefits. If you wish to install curtain rods and wondering about ways to do it perfectly, we are here to help.
The following guide simplifies the process for you in a few easy steps.
1. Begin by measuring the width of the window. Add 30mm to each side to ensure that you have enough space on either ends for the curtain to be pulled. This also prevents light and heat from leaking from the sides of the curtain. Based on the measurement, alter the length of your curtain rod.
2. Place the curtain rod holders on the architrave of the window and make screw holes. Screw the holders properly in a manner that they lie at level with each other. This can be easily achieved by simply placing the holders at the top of the architrave, if the architrave is in level. However, if not, a spirit level can be used for accuracy.
3. Begin by screwing the stop end on the left side of the rod. Put the curtain rings on the rod and place it on the holders. After this, screw the stop end on the right side too. Add small screws through the holders and into the rod to prevent it from slipping.
Your curtain rod is in place! The task of installing curtain rods in pretty simple.
